These are the best engines of this year: Long live the V8 biturbo!

The gala of the International Engine of the Year awards, every year, the best engines in 8 different categories, differentiated by displacements of: up to 1 liter, between 1 liter and 1.4 liters, between 1.4 and 1.8 liters, between 1.8 and 2 liters, between 2 and 2.5 liters, between 2.5 and 3 liters, between 3 and 4 liters and more than 4 liters. And, in addition, prizes for ecological engine, engine renewal of the year, electric motor and absolute best engine.

That prize, is the one that has been Ferrari with its V8 biturbo of 3.9 liters , mounted exclusively on the 488 GTB and its Spyder version. This engine, which came directly from the Maranello factory, has won the absolute prize in front of the Porsche 6-cylinder turbo, or the hybrid system mounted on the BMW i8.

The jury, made up of international journalists from the engine, takes into account, and scores, on the benefits, the handling of the car, consumption or sound.
