Analysis of the C-SUV segment: the ten best-selling SUVs in 2017

After analyzing the results in terms of general sales of passenger cars in 2017 and after having seen which brands and models were sold the most last year, it is time to analyze which are the ten best-selling cars in the C-SUV segment in Spain in what we have year; a segment that does not stop growing and increasingly gains strength, both in Spain and in Europe.

In our country is the third most powerful segment accumulating, on the last day of November, nothing less than 279.253 units sold; that is, the 15.6% of total sales of the market so far this year. Of those almost 280,000 SUVs enrolled, 121,257 units correspond to gasoline engines, while 157,691 have been offered for sale with diesel engines. The diesel wins by a landslide in this category.

The Nissan Qashqai is the best selling SUV by far strong> with respect to its rivals. Its market share is 2.32% , or what is the same, 232 out of every 10,000 cars registered in Spain are Nissan Qashqai. His most immediate pursuers are the Hyundai Tucson and the Seat Ateca, but they are far behind with odds of 1.63 and 1.42% respectively.

If we take a look at the three premium SUVs of German origin strong>, the three best-selling mid-size premiums, we find that the BMW X1 is the most sales accumulated with a notable difference. The Bavarian has enrolled 11,452 units, representing a share of 0.92%. The Mercedes GLA follows with a little distance with 9,618 sales and a 0.77% market share and the Audi Q3 with 8,261 sales and a 0.67% share.
